There is, at H. Moser & Cie., a unique way of blending traditional watchmaking with a distinctly contemporary aesthetic. The Heritage Centre Seconds Funky Blue Fumé, reference 8200-1201, is one of the finest expressions of that philosophy. Inspired by pocket watches and early 20th-century timepieces, it borrows their classical codes, round case, wire lugs, and railway minute track, while reinterpreting them in a modern, minimalist, and perfectly balanced language.

The 42 mm stainless steel case, fully mirror-polished, displays intentionally simple lines infused with tension and character. The slender wire lugs, a hallmark of the Heritage collection, bring a refined, almost neoclassical elegance to the wrist. The oversized fluted crown recalls the world of early wristwatches, while ensuring ease of handling. Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire caseback that opens onto the movement, creating a dialogue between vintage inspiration and contemporary execution.

The true focal point of this piece, however, is the dial. The Funky Blue fumé, Moser’s signature hue, transitions from sky blue to deep midnight depending on the light, with an intensity and depth rarely equalled. The sunburst finish adds subtle texture, while the applied Globolight® numerals and cathedral hands lend balance and strong visual identity.
