Absolute Black
The H. Moser and Co. Endeavour Centre Seconds Concept Vantablack® reference 1200-0412 embodies a radical approach to contemporary watchmaking. Faithful to the minimalist philosophy of the independent manufacture of Schaffhausen, this creation eliminates all superfluous elements to preserve only the essentials. Neither logo, nor index, nor inscription: only time is expressed on a dial of striking visual depth.
Its most spectacular element is undoubtedly its dial made of Vantablack, one of the darkest materials ever developed. Composed of millions of carbon nanotubes, it absorbs more than 99.9% of visible light, creating an impression of absolute emptiness. The hands literally seem to float above a depthless black, offering a unique visual experience in the watchmaking universe. This refined aesthetic perfectly illustrates the will of H. Moser & Cie. to push the limits of traditional design.
The 40 mm case, with soft lines and shapely horns characteristic of the Endeavour collection, highlights the purity of the dial without ever stealing the spotlight. Inside beats the HMC 200 automatic manufacture calibre, visible through the sapphire bottom. Equipped with a running reserve of about 72 hours and decorated according to the standards of the factory, it testifies to the technical know-how of H. Moser & Cie., whose movements compete with the most beautiful achievements of independent high watchmaking.
The reference 1200-0412 is a watch that is primarily aimed at lovers of contemporary watchmaking and avant-garde design. By removing everything that is not essential, H. Moser & Cie. paradoxically manages to create one of the most expressive watches of its generation. A rare, bold and immediately recognisable piece, where the void becomes the most beautiful signature.
