Bicentennial elegance
Some watches do more than mark the passage of time, they embody a long-standing legacy. The Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds “190 Years”, reference Q713842X, is one of them. Introduced in 2023 to commemorate 190 years of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s history, it combines respect for heritage, formal elegance, and functional modernity.
The rectangular stainless steel case adopts the classic proportions of the Tribute line, with refined dimensions (45.6 × 27.4 mm) and a controlled thickness of approximately 8.5 mm. It retains the swivelling mechanism that defines the soul of the Reverso, the front face flips to protect the dial, reaffirming its dual purpose as both a functional tool and an object of charm. The silver-grey dial offers understated sophistication, punctuated by applied hour markers and polished dauphine hands, elegantly contrasted by the small seconds subdial at six o’clock. The whole design evokes the original Art Deco spirit, while maintaining a balanced and contemporary aesthetic.
This model is powered by the manually wound calibre 822, developed specifically for the Reverso. The rectangular movement provides the essentials with precision: hours, minutes, and small seconds. It is known for its thin profile, stability, and traditional architecture. One of the standout features of this edition is its grey Fagliano strap, crafted from leather and textile and equipped with an interchangeable system. This pairing reinforces the sporty yet refined character of the watch, and complements the ensemble beautifully.
Offered here in excellent condition, this watch comes with its complete original set. The 190 Years edition embodies both the weight of tradition and a taste for subtlety, a timepiece for discerning collectors who see a watch not just as an instrument, but as an object of emotion.
