From Outer Space
The white gold GMT-Master II with meteorite dial stands as one of the most distinctive and accomplished expressions of Rolex’s GMT line. Reference 126719BLRO-0002 pairs the iconic red and blue bezel with a dial quite literally forged beyond Earth, making each example inherently unique.
Introduced to the catalogue in 2019, the meteorite dial is cut from a genuine iron meteorite, revealing natural crystalline patterns known as Widmanstätten figures. No two dials are ever identical. Depending on orientation and cut, the tones range from matte silver to darker, more contrasted reflections, offering a visual depth that cannot be artificially replicated. Combined with 18 ct white gold, the result is both striking and remarkably understated on the wrist.
The 40 mm Oyster case, crafted entirely from white gold, retains perfectly balanced proportions. The red and blue Cerachrom bezel, a direct descendant of the original GMT-Master introduced in 1955, enables the simultaneous reading of two time zones, or even three via the bidirectional rotating bezel. It frames here an exceptional dial, enhanced by applied white gold hour markers and Mercedes hands filled with Chromalight, ensuring optimal legibility in all lighting conditions.
The watch is powered by the Rolex calibre 3285, an automatic manufacture movement featuring the Chronergy escapement, a blue Parachrom hairspring and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. Certified as a Superlative Chronometer, it delivers outstanding precision and reliability, fully aligned with the high-end positioning of this reference.
The present example dates from 2021, is in excellent condition, and is offered as a full set with box, outer box, original papers and accessories.
On the wrist, the 126719BLRO Meteorite offers a presence that is both luxurious and discreet. White gold remains deliberately understated compared to yellow gold, allowing the meteorite dial to take centre stage. This is a GMT-Master II intended for a discerning collector, sensitive to the rarity of materials, the history of the model, and the subtle balance between functionality and exclusivity.
An emblematic reference, produced in limited quantities, that occupies a unique position within the contemporary Rolex landscape and already stands as a future collectible classic.
