Launched in 2012, the Sky-Dweller is one of Rolex’s most accomplished creations in the realm of contemporary watchmaking innovation. Unlike pilot-oriented models like the GMT-Master, the Sky-Dweller was designed with discerning world travelers in mind. For this collection, Rolex drew inspiration from the timeless elegance of the Datejust to create a watch that is both refined, technically advanced, and unmistakably modern.

This 2025 model, reference 336934-0006, features a 42 mm Oystersteel case paired with an 18 ct white gold fluted bezel. Its striking sunburst blue dial, accented by luminous baton hour markers, provides a strong yet refined presence while displaying a wealth of useful information with clarity.

At the heart of the Sky-Dweller beats the in-house calibre 9002, introduced in 2023. This self-winding Superlative Chronometer movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers a power reserve of 72 hours. It incorporates Rolex-exclusive innovations such as the Parachrom blue hairspring, Paraflex shock absorbers, and a bidirectional winding system. What truly sets this calibre apart is its intuitive interface with the Ring Command bezel, allowing the wearer to independently set local time, reference time, and the annual calendar.

Equipped with Rolex’s ingenious SAROS annual calendar, the Sky-Dweller requires adjustment only once a year, at the end of February. The month is elegantly displayed by a contrasting colour in a small aperture above each hour marker.

The second time zone is shown via an off-centered 24-hour disc, enabling the wearer to easily distinguish between day and night in the reference time zone. All adjustments are made exclusively via the rotating Ring Command bezel, without the need for additional pushers, an impressive feat of integrated engineering.

Fitted with a five-link Jubilee bracelet featuring the Oysterclasp and Easylink extension system, the Sky-Dweller combines technical sophistication, everyday wearability, and cosmopolitan refinement.
