Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Automatic reference 15510ST.OO.1320ST.06 honours one of the most important signatures of the collection, its historic blue. Its "Grande Tapisserie" dial adopts the "Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50" shade, directly inspired by the colour of the very first Royal Oak of 1972. Deep and particularly changing according to the light, this blue brings an additional dimension to this contemporary generation of the Royal Oak 41 mm.
The 41 mm case and built-in strap are made entirely of stainless steel. Their complex architecture highlights the remarkable finishing work characteristic of Audemars Piguet, with a precise alternation of satin and polished surfaces that underlines every facet of the watch. On the dial, the applied indexes and the Royal Oak hands in white gold are covered with luminescent material, while the 3 o'clock date window is discreetly integrated into the Grande Tapisserie motif.
Through the sapphire case-back we discover the automatic manufacture calibre 4302, movement developed for this generation of Royal Oak. Operating at 4 Hz, it offers a generous power reserve of about 70 hours. Its oscillating mass in 22-carat gold and its finishes visible through the transparent background remind us that behind the apparent simplicity of a three-hand watch lies a true realisation of contemporary high watchmaking.
From 2025, this example is offered in excellent condition and accompanied by its complete set including box and papers. With its Midnight Blue dial, Cloud 50, this 15510ST is not only one of the most desirable configurations of the contemporary Royal Oak 41, it also creates a subtle link with the colour that already accompanied the icon when it was born in 1972.
